Dracula by Bram Stoker

easily one of my favorite classics. journal entry based stories get me every time and i will never get enough of the funky narrators of the 19th century. ALSO any sort of epilogue. did tear up. RIP cowboy

also i cannot believe how much of this story has been lost to time. van helsing (2004) bastardized the original character so bad and i love that so much. also edward cullen didn’t even make one (1) appearance.

if you’re scared of classics like i was, this is a great place to start! it’s easy to understand and with the general cultural knowledge of vampires, context is easy to come by.
