Slow burn for sure - took me almost 2 weeks to read the first 2/3 but then things took a turn that I loved and I finished the last 1/3 in one night! Lovely characters and an interesting mix of historical fiction, fantasy, feminism, & family. Don’t think I’ve read anything like this before, and I really enjoyed it in the end.
