First of all, the narration for this book was AMAZING. 100/10 absolutely phenomenal. The story itself was fast-paced, funny, tense, and also kind of thought-provoking which I really liked. It kept a lighthearted sense about it though without getting too philosophical. All of the characters were a riot (WORK FRIEND), and the interactions felt natural and unforced. I freaking love Eveen, seriously she is such a mood (also she is not a child! She’s an actual adult - albeit undead, but still she’s like estimated to be around 30ish). But also I love that you get to know her as the book goes on. In a way, we the readers start from Sky’s perspective too, and we get to know Eveen through their journey together. Highly recommend reading this (or listening to it because, again, Lynette R. Freeman did an absolutely brilliant job on this!).
