I think my biggest gripe with this book is how it felt like a vengeful telling of the history of this franchise. Given the author’s personal experiences it makes sense but I was less entertained and informed and more felt like I was along for the authors personal journey with the franchise and not the journey of the franchise itself. The tone sort of carried through the book and there were frustrating aspects to it.
