Wonderful story about dealing with trauma and the secrets family can hold. The effects of that trauma on the whole family and recovering from that trauma. Wohld rate higher but there is a wierd romance
between the main character amd their "ex" step-sibling, that is still living with the main character under the main character's mother care. They have been living together since the were young kids and are now teens, with the ex-step siblings father being out of the picture. It'  uncomfortable that this is justified as ok since they aren't technically related, but he's still being raised as part of the family like an adopted sibling. None of that part is adressed, it's just excused as their parents are no longer together. It was difficult to read at those points. If someone is being raised in the same home as you by your parent like a sibling, that should count as being siblings, regardless of blood relation. It left a gross taste in my mouth. Which unfortunate as the rest of story is absolutely gorgeous.
