This book could have been so much more.
It feels as if two different books have been smooshed together: one about linguistics of feminism and one about sociolinguistic change; with neither explored to its full potential. There is no doubt that these topics are closely linked, but this book does not deliver on its title.
It is not a guide, but rather a mind-map of the issue. A good introduction to the topic for a person without linguistic, sociological or related backgrounds
