In Hidden Seams, Marco has just inherited a billion after ten years of selling his reputation, and realizes now just how lonely he really is. Avery works with money laundering, trying to get enough money to support the immigrant women who depend on her to find shelter and a decent job. She is determine if the man who used to publicly date Marco was his father, and he is determined to not let her ruin his legacy. When they meet, however, the intense passion between them is something they can’t fight.
I had read The Ghostwriter a month or so ago and I was SO impressed that I immediately added this book to my TBR. I hardly ever read erotica, but in the spirit of broadening my reading, I requested this book and was very excited when it got approved! This story is so sexy, steamy and made my face go scarlet when I was reading it in public transport. It was so addictive I almost finished in one day.
However, a lot of the plot parts felt too rushed or required a bit of forgiving characters for being so obnoxious. I had some problem with the rudeness of Marco and how he just throws money at everything (but then again, if I were a billionaire, maybe I’d do that, too). But in any case, I really liked Avery! She was so strong, yet human and vulnerable.
The romance was SO rushed, but it didn’t feel out of place in the novel at all. Was rather sweet how both developed feelings so quickly, in my opinion. The sex scenes were really well done and so sexy! I will definitely read more from Alessandra Torre!
