Fatal Alliance by Sean Williams

1.0

I am reviewing this a month or two after reading it and there was just nothing memorable about this book. Upon finishing it I was going to give it 2 stars for being meh at best and very boring at worst. But after letting this review settle for a few months (aka: I got behind on reviews), I will be demoting it even further to one star.

There were no stand out characters for me to root for or enjoy. I think the key to doing a SW book that focuses on characters we don't know is to have a strong writer that can get us invested in the characters and their actions. This book did not do that. In fact, I don't even remember a single name from this book. What I do remember is enjoying the Sith characters, but not nearly as much as in other stories. Darth Chratis sleeps in what is basically a coffin, which is very edge lord of him...that was the only thing I took away from this book.

Perhaps readers with different tastes from me might enjoy this. Maybe if you like a bit more family drama? All I can say is that this book just wasn't it for me.
