I suppose the word I can use to describe this book is... Cute! Not groundbreaking, but it has an interesting enemies to lovers arc!
I have a bit of a problem with Irene's character, as she seems too much like a #woke POC character written by a white person that just read a book about systemic racism or something — at least in the first half of the book. Sometimes she sounds like a parody of a real WOC, and that bothered me a little, although not to the point of it being absurd.
The enemies bit is interesting, the lovers part is cute! Quick read to feel good and gay! :)
