The pace was a little slower than I'm used to but not so much that I DNF. The characters were well developed and I always pictured Persephone as the same character as Prudence from the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (probably because of the blonde hair and septum piercing). The last third of the book was a little surprising, wasn't expecting it to go in that direction, and some points were hard to get through, but the story was still really well told.
Graphic: Panic attacks/disorders, Rape, Sexual assault, Grief
