Little Ghosts by Gregg Dunnett

5.0

My heart has been ripped out. All the feels. And this was a thriller! I’m not supposed to be emotional!

This was the story of a murdered ten year-old and life for her family afterward. All of the ensuing grief that her parents and brother Gale are shrouded in is quite normal, until you learn Gale can see his sister. Soon, he’s even able to talk to her. What happens next was a game of whodunnit and cat and mouse. It wasn’t just the thriller aspect of this story that made it so good. It was the characters. The character development was amazing. You really got to know their mother Rachel and the investigating detectives. I wanted/want to hug Gale and Layla. The bottom line is this book made me FEEL and it made me want to keep reading. I was invested from the first page.

If you liked the movie “Ghost” (okay seriously who doesn’t like “Ghost” with Patrick Swayze?) then you’ll love this book. I have only seen one person post about this book so it is absolutely underrated but the reviews speak for themselves! It really is spectacular. If thrillers are your jam, this book is for you. It’s 6am and I’m going to go to bed (yes I stayed up all night to finish this book) and my heart is a little heavy from that last chapter. Ugh I feel like I’m going to cry. Just read this book!

Now pardon me I have to go sign up for any email lists Gregg Dunnett has.
