Little Women Abroad: The Alcott Sisters' Letters from Europe, 1870-1871 by May Alcott Nieriker, Louisa May Alcott, Daniel Shealy

5.0

“Christmas won’t be Christmas without any presents.” My favorite line of all time.

This book brings back so many wonderful memories. I can not recommend this classic enough. A family tradition was my mother reading this book to me, and as an adult I read it once a year around Christmas time.

Jo is an unforgettable heroine. All the sisters have their part to play. Amy spoiled, yet sure of herself; Beth shy, but always kind; and Meg the oldest, trying to find her place in this world; then Jo who’s confident, yet that can be her downfall at times.

Romance, family ties, love, loss, singing, dancing, everything you can ask for in a book. Forever my favorite!
