Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other
by Graham McTavish, Sam Heughan
DID NOT FINISH: 75%
I just couldn't do it. Got about 75% of the way through before calling it quits. I have a feeling that if Graham wrote this on his own, there would be way more Scottish history and none of Sam's annoying banter/demeaning names for Graham.
I read the Clanlands Almanac: Seasonal Stories from Scotland first, which I'm glad I did. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have read it at all. That one has the Scottish history and clan stories I was looking for. (The banter is there too, but toned down a bit. It was only slightly annoying.) So if that's what you thought would be here, read that instead.
On the other hand, if what you want is stupid one-upmanship and pranks and drinking stories, then this is the book for you.
