Happy Birthday, Turk! by Jakob Arjouni, Anselm Hollo

Did not finish book. Stopped at 34%.
The writing is crisp, and the story well-paced, but absolutely everyone is ugly and gross. Including the narrator. I don't mind some roughness, but every scene has detailed descriptions of belches, farts, urine, or snot.
I don't care at all about whodunit and don't have any desire to remain in this ugly world.
