This is the first epic fantasy I've read in a while. Ayinde creates a rich, deep world in this debut. There are so many characters and plot threads. It was a bit difficult to keep them straight at the beginning, but became easier along the way. The last 3/4s of the book do a great job at tieing the plot threads together while also setting up direction for the next installment! Overall, a very enjoyable story!
