Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

5.0

I think this book might be more of a 4 star than 5, but it gets a bump for the nostalgia factor. It's a lovely classic book, with a beautiful portrayal of so many different, varied women. I cried, I laughed, I occasionally got frustrated at the very old-fashioned moral lessons (especially those aimed at young girls) before reminding myself it was written in a different time... Overall it was as lovely as I remembered it being, though. Also interestingly, I really liked Amy a lot more, reading this as an adult. I remember disliking her as a child, I have no idea why, except that perhaps I was in more of a "younger siblings are annoying" stage? Oh well. All the sisters were wonderful.
