This book was...something.
The horror was absolutely created, and part of me feels like I just went into the book with the wrong expectations. I'm not sure how to interpret this - was it a metaphor for grief? I'm a person who wants answers at the end of my book so obviously I'm struggling with that. I found I liked the writing more as I went on but I'm not sure it was enough to enthrall me. Artistically, yes, a good book, but didn't leave me with the happiness of having finished a book I love, more a sense of disquiet.
