This book is a bold exploration of how generational trauma can impact how someone mothers. It follows the journey of 3 generations; the mom (FMC), her mom, and her grandma (mom’s mom). When society pressures you to give yourself to something that you don’t want, this can be the result of where it can go wrong. Albeit, I’d hope that sociopath daughters aren’t the norm BUT, the underlying encouragement and validation that womanhood does not equal motherhood was 😮‍💨.
I wish the author did more exploring into the daughters thought processes and more BTS between the FMC and her husband, however, this thriller was captivating. Be wary of some CW’s prior to taking the jump and getting into this read.
