I love a good historical fiction book, and this one ticked all of the boxes. I’m not super familiar with the Georgian time period, but I truly felt transported back in time. There were a lot of underlying feminist themes throughout, and I enjoyed the two different narratives of the main characters (plus Pamela). I was hooked throughout, and felt satisfied with the ending (can’t be said for many similar books!). Despite the length, it never felt as though it dragged, and I had no clue what the ending was going to be.
