A Moveable Feast
by Ernest Hemingway
A beautiful remembrance of the people who shaped Hemingway's life in Paris in the 1920s. His ability to examine his love for and disappointment in people like Ezra Pound, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Gertrude Stein makes for beautiful and insightful reading. But it also gives the reader a glimpse of important literary history. The sections devoted to Fitzgerald in particular are incredible. Knowing that Hemingway took his own life before ever publishing this makes the book all the more thought-provoking.
