It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

3.0

This book is in every way heartbreaking.
Never have I fallen in love with a story as much as I have when I read this.
I am still young, younger than lily in her diary entries, but I felt something for her, even though I have no relation to anything she went through.
I cried and wished the story would end differently. I agree with Colleen’s note at the end, saying she wished to rewrite chapters. Maybe that would have made this book less heartbreaking, but I’m so glad she didn’t rewrite those chapters.
This book has given me a better perspective, of who I don’t want to become when I grow up, and who I do want to become.
Someone as brave and bold as Lily, with a sense of resilience and knowing when I’ve reached my limits.
Thank you Colleen, for showing me what a relationship should look like, for giving me something to cry about. Thank you for sharing your experiences and wording them in the most beautiful way possible.
