I highlighted so many good lines and honestly wish I could put them all here 😭
Two strangers on a lakefront, destined for nothing. No good story ever started that way.
“What were your plans for us that night?”
“Now you know.” Now I know.
We were beautiful. A beautiful, forsaken mess.
She was mine. She would always be mine. But not everything we were given was meant to be kept.
✦Thoughts✦
This might be the best forbidden romance I have ever read!!! This one was such a gut punch, what Halley went through was so awful and incredibly sad. The chance encounter with Reed and the immediate connection between them and the aftermath was a wild a ride. When I hit the 50% mark… I was a goner. When she said “now you know” omgggggg. After that I couldn’t step away from this book and I cried so much that last 20%. This is one of those books that is going to stick with me for a long time🫶🏻
This book was soo good and I can’t recommend enough!
