When I was a kid there was a Pokemon handbook that was rich with lots of information about each and every 'mon, often dedicating two page spreads to the most important of them

This isn't that handbook. It's nice enough, if you like your Pokemon information in book form over Bulbapedia, but it's just a collection of Pokedex entries from the Gen 7 games
