Seven Views of Olduvai Gorge by Mike Resnick

4.0

I am a huge fan of stories with this premise: that man is an unstoppable scourge in the galaxy, that our fate is not only in the stars but as masters of them. Danger--Human by Gordon R. Dickson is another great example of this trope.

I feel like I need a lengthy explanation on why I didn't give 5 stars to a story that swept all the awards. I would give it 4.5 if I could, but ultimately it wasn't a story I was trying to find excuses to pick up my kindle to read. It also tastes like the era in which it was written. I would recommend it to anyone.
