Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life by Christie Tate

When I first picked this up I thought to myself “why tf did I buy this book” 😂 Let me explain. I, like most people, read to escape. Reading about therapy, my day job, is not exactly escaping. Luckily this book was so enjoyable that it didn’t take me back to or put me in work mode at all. On the contrary, I was kind of concerned with the therapists’ method of treatment but that’s neither here nor there. I loved the story and it’s progression, especially the honesty and vulnerability. Definitely some unexpected situations and a few laugh out loud moments. My favorite was the end and since it’s absolutely impossible to feel emotionally connected to all people mentioned, I found myself tearing up. So good!
