I’ve found this book to be infuriatingly bad. Conversations feel weird, not normal at all, very cumbersome and uncharacteristic of people who are 50 years old. First the father, who the fuck says they want children with you on the second date. The idea of soulmates in this book is very important to the author, but honestly i dont get where he’s coming from. The end is not surprising at all given the theme of soulmates and it is of course not at all up to expectations. 35 years they haven’t forgotten each other and they haven’t stopped thinking about their past relationship - come on. Bring some realism in it. Frankly I am triggered.
