A Dance with the Fae Prince (Dramatized Adaptation) by Elise Kova

3.0

I don’t know. I thought this was interesting and it kept my attention and I probably even enjoyed it.

Except I didn’t care about anything. Like the love story was weird and not a focus and sort of disjointed. Like the story didn’t need it (which is crazy bc it’s the only reason I was reading)

I don’t care about her family, if she dies, the fae kingdom, if they every build the towns, if everyone gets murdered, if all the magic dies. I kind of wish she was gutted or something and they had a new main character with at least one personality trait beyond “broken home.” I honestly didn’t care about any of it but at the same time I was like… continue.

It’s like when someone is telling you a story about something mundane, like how their day was, but they add a little bit of flourish every now and then so you just sit there and nod even though you don’t care.

This is arguably a better book than the elf king bc of the stuff that happens and the additional characters but wow was I not invested.

My favorite part of the book is the mom actor screaming in the last few minutes of the book.
