Words of Radiance Part Two by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

I whole heartedly believe Words of Radiance to be the greatest book to exist and The Stormlight Archive to just to be a masterpiece of a series.

Words of Radiance took the worldbuilding from Way of Kings and elevated it so much with great character development and characterization and the world itself and the way it all felt natural and a steady progression.

There’s so much to this book that makes it so great that it’s impossible to list them all but the character interactions were interesting and fun, the action was super immersive and even gave me chills many times and it was a fun read all throughout.

And the characters are great, every single character is distinct and unique with different struggles that fit and move the narrative in a natural way without it feeling out of place or a plot convenience, everything had a purpose and a reason

The Interludes this time were a lot longer however they offered a much more direct understanding to the story characters such as giving a viewpoint from the parshendi which made the things happening towards the end a lot more impactful.

There wasn’t much I didn’t enjoy, I felt like a certain event should’ve been a little later in the story but I won’t say for spoilers and I don’t think shallan’s backstory is quite as gripping or expansive as kaladin’s was in The Way of Kings (but it was still good).

The entire experience has been great so far and I’m excited to read the rest of the series
