huuuhhh???
The values in this book are seriously concerning. How could anyone write seriously that french people like suicidal people more than other people do? Also, I have a problem with the gender roles but I guess that's not surprise when it's a ya novel written at least 10 years ago-

The story is.. not completely logical to me. They're in a locked unit but they aren't monitored the whole time? In the locked unit you are because you are actively a danger to yourself and/or others but he can just go around fucking his inmates? Doesn't make sense. Neither does the cat poop thing. He despises the sessions and says there's nothing to tell. Then it gets offtrack with the whole sexuality thing. And suddenly, without anything else, he works with him? Also, he says he's okay, fine and normal and out of nowhere he talks about "yeah I'm feeling fine for the first time in weeks"

The whole gay thing also came out of nowhere. First of all what the f** happened with Rankin and why was it not treated more seriously? It also seems unlogically that when they're locked in for supervision (otherwise they'd be allowed to leave) that someone can just commit suicide that easily. And even if, I would have wanted to know how Sadie got to the meds. The things they're allowed to have are limited after all.

In my opinion there's a hell lot wrong with this book and logic doesn't always comply. No really, Jeffs change of mind came out of nowhere for me.
