Though lovely written, I feel as though the pacing of the book, the way it flips back and forth between different years and parts of the main characters lives took away from any interest I could have in the future of these characters, after all I knew what was pretty much going to happen to them anyways. I confirmed this was the issue since when the story turned linear again in the last fifth of the book I loved what I was reading.
Graphic: Antisemitism and War
Moderate: Rape and Sexual harassment
