Inside Man by K.J. Parker

4.0

Rating: 4/5

A second trip into Parker’s world of exorcism and demonic possession proves worth the journey. Narrated by an unnamed demon from the first book, “Inside Man” offers a more sympathetic and theologically curious story than “Prosper’s Demon”. As with “Prosper”, Parker’s prose is excellent at making you laugh one line and immediately stop at the next. Morality might be relative to our exorcist, but our demonic host can’t help but wonder at the point of it all and invites us to do the same.
