Look, I’m not gonna lie and pretend I finished this book. Unfortunately this was my first DNF of the year.
I wanted to love this book and was disappointed by how much I disliked it because I enjoyed the first two books. But, the MFC was obnoxiously ditsy and just annoying. It was giving quirky but try-hard quirky in my opinion.
I also just hated the fact that as soon as they accidentally kiss it’s a constant back and forth of “I don’t want to make things awkward and lose our friendship” from both characters. It got to the point where I just couldn’t look past it anymore. It did not come off as awkward on page but they were constantly thinking about how awkward things were between them when that wasn’t the case. It just irritated me and I truly couldn’t connect with their characters like I wanted to.
