Hooked is obviously a play on Peter Pan. (Although there is no creepiness given that Peter and the lost boys never wanted to grow up.... no children are involved in this telling) It is a VERY dark book. There are twists that you likely won't see coming. There is breath play and violence throughout the book. The telling is a unique perspective on the fairy tale. I haven't read anything like this. You will start to wonder how there could possibly be anything good for the end of the book but the author wraps it all up perfectly. Definitely take the author's warnings at the beginning of the book seriously. If you've got any triggers you're sure to find them here.
