👀 Thankfully this was only 50 pages long but even those 50 pages felt like never-ending.
👀 A murder takes place, someone witnesses it. The murderer catches the person witnessing the act. Now the person is scared about what the murderer will do. This was supposed to be a really interesting story but it was the exact opposite.
👀 The story sounded very promising in the beginning but by the end it turned out to be exactly like a typical 80s bollywood movie where coincidences & miracles were indigestible. Even fantasy is more realistic than what happened in this book.
👀 A scene's summary for example - a wealthy businessman's son visits a village for supervising a project going on. There he meets a local girl and they fall in love. The father is against the marriage because the girl is from another religion. He forces the son to marry in a rich family that'll benefit their business and forget about the girl he loves. The son obeys as inheritance is more important to him. Some months later his wife is giving birth in a hospital, her condition is critical and suddenly he comes across his ex's mother who tells him that her unmarried daughter is also giving birth to his child and is in critical condition (what a coincidence). Guess what? The ex dies, child survives and just next door the wife survives and the child is still born (yeah right, i imagined this in black & white with sad background music). An arrangement is made and the babies are replaced, everyone's happy but a revenge will be waiting in the future because of what happened in the hospital.
👀 Now you all have an idea about what I meant when i said "indigestible miracles & coincidences". I can't even explain how cringe the whole thing was. I was literally laughing by the end thinking about the lack of thrill & suspense in a crime thriller.
👀 I don't want to be rude but even 1 star is exaggerating. I don't think I'll ever recommend this book to anyone.
