The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

Remember Bilbo Baggins? The
adventurous hobbit who picked up a ring nonchalantly inside a dark cave?

When we see the now aged hobbit again we find out that his adventurous side never left him. Bilbo is dreaming of a peaceful retirement at the other side of the middle world far away from the Shire.

Leaving his possessions behind seems to be a decision which is easily made by Bilbo. There is only one problem that need to be sort out. His ring cannot seal him anymore during his journeys.

Bilbo his ring turns out to be a wanted inestimable ring. Gandalf the wizard advice him to leave his ring under the watchful eye of his heir Frodo.

Gandalf fears that dark times are rising caused by the dark powers of the ring. Frodo has no idea what danger awaits him.

Frodo must flee as fast as possible and that's when we join him on a gigantic
perilous adventure.

I was absolutely hooked on finding out all the story details of this book. This book introduce us to countless fantasy creatures. The world building is definitely on a another level but i have to admit that the world felt so huge to me that it often distracted me of the storyline.

I would recommend any fantasy lover to give this series a go and discover by yourself what you think of it.
