Looking for Alaska by John Green

5.0

This will always, always, always be my all time John Green book. From the moment I started reading it I was like, 'this is it, this is the book that I will fall in love with', and it's safe to say that I did.

Looking for Alaska is told from a guy's point of view which is probably one of the many reason's that I love it because every single YA book that I have read has been told from a girl's point of view and I was in serious need for a change.

I enjoyed this book as it is set in two parts; before and after. Before and after what you may ask, well, before and after the girl that Miles Halter falls in love dies. He loved her so much and I can safely say that I have never read a book that deals' with death and the way that people react to it in any way like this. I can safely say that the death of Alaska took me completely by surprise and I don't know how feel about it. I don't know what Green's fascination is with killing off his characters is but it needs to stop.

For being his debut novel, I think that Green has excelled himself and yet again, made me fall in love with yet another one of his books and I am not mad about it.

Please read this book if you had not, you may end up falling in love with it like I did.
