Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
2.0
Well, it's hard to give a rating because there was so much going on in this book - it felt more like three separate books instead of just one.
Some parts were great, others were really tedious to read. It didn't have to be so long and imo ~ 200 pages less would have been better for the story overall.
But I really liked the ending and didn't see it coming (so glad I was able to avoid the spoilers) - I'm definitely excited for the third book now. I also like that the author focused more on the friendships in this story, but unfortunately the romance was sub-par.
All in all, I would rate Iron Flame 2/5 stars because it was alright, but I wouldn’t read it again. I liked Fourth Wing better, but at least the dragons were as hilarious as ever.
