Visions of Fate by Sylvia Mercedes
4.0
Appropriately horrifying
I thought this book was quite a bit more comprehensible than the first one. The plot pacing made sense, the moral conflict was strong and appropriately horrifying, and the mystery and sense of larger evils was well-placed. However, I have to say that the investigations, particularly the characters’ narrations of them towards the end, got a bit muddled for me. Also, I still am not sure how the phantom witch escaped and got that host. Am I not supposed to? (If I’m not, that’s a good hook for the next book!)
