Corrupt by Penelope Douglas

3.0

*I'm actually giving this 3.5 stars, but that's not an option on goodreads*

I finished this book in a few days and went back and forth on the rating. Overall, I think Penelope Douglas does a great job writing taboo, spicy books, and I love Birthday Girl and Credence. This story was more bully than I enjoyed - Micheal was mean and while he did redeem himself for me, it still made me uncomfortable throughout the book.

I will say the writing is great, in my opinion, and I loved how we were introduced to multiple characters who I know will show up in the entire series. I think it created a full picture of the world PD worked to create, and it makes me excited to read the other books.

I think I'll need to take a break from this series for a little bit before starting the next book, since there's no cliffhanger and they techincally can all be read as stand alones.
