DNF. The copy I had seems to include the prequel short story. At least, reading other reviews, I now realise that it is what the first 30ish pages of the book are. But within the actual book, it was presented as just the starting of the book. At around 30 pages in, the story ends. There is a copyright notice! And I thought the book was over.
Then I realised there were a good 200+ pages to go, scrolled a few more pages in, and discovered the book starts again from another POV? There is no notice that this is a new book/story, just a new chapter heading.
It was very confusing to read, and by the time I'd worked it out (i.e.: when I came to goodreads), I was just over it and had returned it to KU and got something else.
