I knew from the first page this was going to take my mind hostage and I wasn’t disappointed!!! I don’t know how I’ll recover from the impact this had on me!

Everything about Before I Let Go touched something so deep in my heart from Yasmen, her story and her healing to Josiah, his emotions and development and, surprisingly for some reason, his influence on Kassim, that boy loves both his parents so much but Josiah was like his beacon. In addition Yasmen’s friendship with Solidad and Hendrix (ps can’t wait to start their books) was like watching soulmates interact, every bit of this story had a different message that will speak to different people individually and I don’t even know how to put it into words or where to start.

Josiah and Yasmen are soulmates, that was evident from page 1 and whilst how they drifted apart was utterly heartbreaking, the healing we saw especially from Josiah’s pov was so profound & necessary, I felt so proud that Josiah took those steps towards healing for his son and the. eventually he went from looking down at the mere thought of therapy to booking early morning sessions because he knew he needed them to move forward for himself and the kids🥹

Deja… yeah I’ll leave that aline but I’ll just say girly didn’t apologise adequately enough for me👀
