“The sun rises every day. What is to love? Lock the sun in a box. Force the sun to overcome adversity in order to rise. Then we will cheer! I will often admire beautiful sunrise, but I will never consider the sun a champion for having risen.”

I was not sure I wanted to read this. It sounded like "a sad dog story" which is not something I thought I would vibe with. Enzo believes that his time on earth is for the purpose of learning how to become a human, and it seems like the author might feel that everyone's time on earth is for the purpose of learning how to become a human. The characters in the story are realistic and their struggles are very tangible and relatable. It was still a sad dog book, but it was still heartwarming and cozy.
