i thought this was the typical fantasy enemies to lovers book where they try to kill each other and then they end up loving each other and being rulers of their world but damn was i wrong

i loved the trials, i felt like Oraya fought with everything she had every step of the way

i kind of sense that he’d be someone impor in the Rhisan rebellion but not THE HEIR wtf
and i predicted that Vincent had lied to Oraya about how and why he found her but for her to be his biological daughter ??? and HIM DYING ?????
his death felt too easy
and let’s talk about ORAYA WISHING FOR RAIHN TO WIN AND HIM REVIVING AND KILLING HER DAD ??????

total and utter shock for me

a thing i didnt like was the 3 extra chapters where they get married, i feel like that could’ve been summarized in an epilogue and it would’ve made a better impression and it would’ve made me run to read the second one (even though im going to right now)
