It took about 30% of the book to get into it, 50% to feel really invested in it, and the last 75% blew me away.
This book was incredibly violent and raw, and I don’t know how to explain the way this book made me feel other than extremely vulnerable. Some of the secondary characters were markedly not as fleshed out as the main characters, at times the violence was a little extreme, and the writing style took me a couple chapters to get used to. But ultimately this book was breathtaking.
