Last book for my reading challenge! I don’t think I’ve ever seen this movie though I knew the general premise. It was really good. A bit overly descriptive for my taste in the beginning but still really interesting and sad. The second half of the book was more interesting to me.
I did really appreciate how much we got into the head of this little boy, who was fascinated with life, death, the war, bravery and airplanes. He was such an optimist kid too.
I had to do a bit of research about how autobiographical it was. And more about that period of history. Super interesting overall!
