This had the potential to be a really great story but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me. Why are they in New York when the statues were stolen by the British? If there were a logical in universe reason I’d buy it but it seems like having the setting be in the UK would have made a lot more sense given who stole the statues in the first place. Why are they attending a private high school when they’re all 150 years old? Seriously, why? Why do they behave like they’re still teenagers when they’re 150 years old? Again if there is a in universe explanation for this choice, I could get on board with that but there isn’t. Why are some of them cursed to be vampires and werewolves when those are western mythology? It’s just so random when one of the others is cursed to be a fox spirit. If it doesn’t make sense it really takes me out of the story and nothing about this story made sense.
