The Abduction of Julia by Karen Hawkins

1.0

I have tried three times to get into this book, and just when I start up again, something else happens that:

is highly improbable
shows the heroine is Miss Perfect
shows the hero is a whiny idiot

The only thing of interest is the side characters. Rather than show me and develop the hero/heroine, Hawkins keeps telling me (beating me over the head) about the heroine's do-gooder character and how the hero is really a rake, and he's very insightful into how evil his cousin is. But then we get said evil cousin's point of view, he just wants money to go with is inheritance. But apparently he's evil because he's into S&M and treats shallow women like property.

I'm done. Next book.
