The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe by Ally Condie
3.75
I actually loved this book. I love pirates, and the way the book explored grief was interesting and I really felt Poe’s grief the whole time. Tam’s death was even more devastating I loved himmmmm why would you do this. I also did predict Naomi being a traitor, but not because of any hints or anything I just knew it would be the most important person to Poe.
The only things I felt were not as good, it felt slow quite a few times and I would put the book down not wanting to pick it back up again.I also honestly never felt like Poe and Brig had any chemistry or have any potential for a relationship. I know the author set them up to be together in the future, but I didn’t see anything between them before it was explicitly told to the reader that Poe was interested in him. I honestly think it would’ve made more sense to have Tam as the love interest, and even though he died, I saw a lot more between them.
