I've been peripherally aware of Busy Philipps since way back when in Dawson's Creek. I've always thought of her as an entertaining actress but never gave her much thought or joined the cult of her Instagram followers. This book changed all that and made her into an incredibly interesting person. It's not only all she's gone through in life and her utter bravery in sharing some of her darker and unflattering moments but it also her unmistakable joie de vivre and clear, relatable voice.
I tore through this book because it reads like having an immensely enjoyable chat with someone whos' witty, charming, and self-deprecating. Like meeting someone for breakfast and suddenly realizing that time flew by and you're getting midnight tacos without even being aware of time passing by.
