Cruel Illusions by Margie Fuston

5.0

This book was on my physical TBR for a year or so, I got the fancy edition from Fairyloot and I am so glad I read this. This book definitely deserves more hype. This is a fantasy YA book with spectacular world building. There’s magic, there’s vampires, there’s romance, and betrayal, there’s a huge mystery. We have Ava who was orphaned by her magician other and father. Something was just always unique about her that made her different and not fit in with all the others. She ends up being recruited by these magicians to become a hunter of Vampires and on her journey through these trials she makes friends, loses some, and finds out so much more she didn’t know about herself. Ava’s character growth is done beautifully, absolutely a 5 ⭐️ read. I need more people to read it ❣️
